The Guitar: Gibson SG

I recently purchased a Gibson SG Custom with P90 pickups and I am loving it; truly. I apologize for the shitty pictures. These were taken with my iPhone.

I was worried about the worn cherry finish but it is actually pretty nice. I don't have to worry about cleaning up smudges on a gloss finish and it showcases the body well.

This pictures shows the practice amp that I bought as well, a Fender Mustang I, which has proved to be great already. The '59 Bassman sound it produces is sweet and 20W is plenty for me although I do have my eye on a Marshall Class 5 tube amp.

The Essentials

Here is a pretty comprehensive list of some classic and more versatile men's fashion items. Although I don't agree with 26 and 27. One classic that I would add to the list is wingtips.

Singer Porsche 911

I'm pretty much a sucker for any 911 that Porsche comes out with but I think this concept car by Singer takes the cake.

Listen to: Who Charted? with Howard Kremer and Zach Galifianakis

Just listened to this podcast for the first time today and I must admit it's pretty damn good. Plenty of meandering and some good comedy. Enjoy!

Listen here.

jQuery: Lightweight Validation Plugin

Here is a validation plugin that I've been working on in my spare time and while also at my day job. I asked my employer, Catalyst, if I could release this as open source and they told me to post it.

Brief documentation:
//Add rules if they aren't in the default rule set ($.fn.validateHandle.defaults.defaultRule):
$('#specificElement').addRule({ "rule": /^[0-9]{1,20}$/, "message": "Can only be digits foo!" });
The reason I created this plugin is because it seems like the validation plugins that are out there are pretty good but they're all quite large and we didn't need all the frills so I created this lighter weight validation that does a great job.
Please comment if you found the plugin useful or if you think there need to be improvements. Give me 5 stars on the jQuery plugins page here if you enjoyed my plugin. Thanks!

Clinton: Al Jazeera Is 'Real News'

I completely agree with Clinton on this. It's sad to see that people are watching Fox NEWS, CNN, and MSNBC and calling it news. No wonder people are so frustrated after elections; it's because they don't know who they're electing or what they stand for and it's these "news" channels that promote and feed this propaganda. Hopefully these sites that report real issues that are affecting real people and not the mud slinging will continue to grow in popularity.

Al Jazeera - English

As a side note I found this post on to be interesting. Obviously I'm not saying that I think any party is always correct but I do think the Republicans have gotten out of hand with some policies.
